The Van Go Van
Well it has taken sanding, taping and about 3 weeks
It all began about a month ok, when I had just had the engine of my VW Vanagon rebuilt, since the engine was running so good I decided the outside needed a face lift and I entered the World of Art Cars. In my usual artist exuberance, I scratched my head, asked everyone I could about painting cars and finally said “”what the hay you can always sand it off”. I put out the call, told everyone I was serving pizza and would they like to come paint on my van. They must have liked the idea, everyone showed up around 11:00AM Saturday morning. After discussing that I wanted a nautical theme to compliment my mermaids, it took less than 5 minutes to decide what to paint and everyone took a square. It was thoroughly enjoyable and a little “naughty” at first to paint on a car.
With tons friendship, much support and painting
By my Florida artist friends we will be unveiling the improved, but not new Mermaid Mobile named
“Van Go Gallery”
The best way to appreciate all the work and friendship that went into the making of the Van Go Gallery is to show you in Pictures so here they are
Looking Good…..that’s just a little teaser to get you interested. The clear coat starts tomorrow and then it is the Maiden Voyage to Louisiana for Labor Day Weekend
Look for e-mails of the unveiling
Wishing you all the best and Kudos and Thanks to all my wonderful new friends who helped me.
